Dr. William Adams II is board-certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has served as president of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Adams is a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is actively involved in the board certification process. He serves the entire Western Kentucky and Southern Illnois region, providing advanced foot and ankle surgical procedures including total ankle replacement surgery and lapiplasty.
Dr. Adams earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He continued his training with Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency at West Houston Medical Center in Texas. He has previously served on the Kentucky State Board of Podiatry and on the board of directors for the Kentucky Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Adams has presented lectures and has been faculty at teaching labs around the country. He is also quite committed to continuing medical education and regularly attends meetings and seminars to stay abreast of his field’s latest developments. He is on staff at Baptist Health Paducah, Mercy Health, Surgicare, and the Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center. Dr. Adams and his wife, Jenny, and their two daughters reside in Paducah.
