Dr. Virosh Dharmadasa was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the Prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Dharmadasa went on to earn his doctorate in Podiatric medicine and surgery from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2020. Dr. Dharmadasa excelled Academically in Medical School, graduating as class Salutatorian and as a member of the Dean’s list and the Pi Delta National Honor Society due to his Academic Excellence and contributions to the field of Podiatric Medicine and surgery.
Dr. Dharmadasa completed his 3-year residency program in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, FL. Dr. Dharmadasa served as chief resident in his final year of training and during his time there, he developed his surgical skills and clinical knowledge in all facets related to the foot and ankle. He worked closely with different specialties during his training which developed his multidisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive care to all patients.
Dr. Dharmadasa’s interest includes all aspects of reconstructive surgery of the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle as well as trauma, sports medicine, pediatric, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. He continues to actively attend and participate in surgical training courses offered across the country as part of his ongoing effort to update himself on the latest skills, knowledge, and technology.
Dr. Dharmadasa is fluent in both English and Singhalese. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and meeting people from all walks of life as well as spending time with his Wife and two dogs.
