Dr. Shayan Alamgir obtained his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University, IL. He earned his medical degree from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science . Dr. Alamgir then completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he served as Chief Resident. His training involved comprehensive surgical and non-surgical management of various lower extremity conditions with an emphasis on deformity correction, advanced wound care, amputation prevention, diabetic limb salvage, and infection management.
During his residency, he participated in clinical research with scientific presentations at multiple surgical and wound care conferences. He has delivered several lectures focusing on foot and ankle deformities. He continue remain active with different medical organizations focusing to improve foot and ankle health. During his free time, Dr. Alamgir enjoys watching his Chicago bears and bulls, running, outdoor activities, and trying cultural cuisine. He is excited to be serve the Aurora and surrounding community.
