Dr. Brian O’Carroll was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. O’Carroll attended Western Michigan University, he majored in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Chemistry and Physics, he graduated in 1993. He then attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and earned his DPM degree in 1997. He went on to complete an extensive two-year podiatric surgical residency program in trauma and reconstructive foot procedures in Chicago, Illinois at The Venerated Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. O’Carroll remained on Faculty at Mercy Hospital until his decision to move to the West Coast. In January of 2008 Dr. O’Carroll moved out to the Central Coast with his wife, Meghan, and began his podiatric career with Dr. Steve Clark. Dr. O’Carroll and his wife have two boys, Tommy (10) and Declan (9), who keep them very busy on his days he is not working. Dr. O’Carroll is on staff at French Hospital, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, Marian Medical Center, and Coastal Surgical Institute.

Dr. O’Carroll is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. O’Carroll has a special interest in sports medicine injuries of the foot and ankle, and diabetic wound care. He has pursued specialty training in reconstructive procedures, such as Lapiplasty for Bunion Repair, and is one of the leading performers of this operation on the West Coast.
